A Look at Discontined Hearts for Hearts Doll Nahji

I had a request for a post featuring my 14″ Hearts for Hearts doll. Hearts for Hearts was an amazing doll line, and you could buy them at Target for fantastic prices! A little over a year ago, the line was discontinued without warning after 2 new dolls had been released. I went to Target back when they were still in production and decided to buy the newest doll as soon as I could. I went back a week later and they were off the shelves, suddenly prices went up on Ebay, and I knew something was wrong. Luckily, I had added Nahji to my collection the year before. People are still puzzling over the fact that Playmates shut down production when the dolls were so popular.

On a higher note, today I have some pictures of Nahji. I also have Chai Time with Nahji/Deluxe Playset, but this post just features the doll itself.

At 14″ they are 4″ smaller than American Girl Dolls and make the perfect little sisters!

This book is too big!!!!! Help me!

Oh yes, I forgot Nahji is joining us for the review so you can get to know her! The doll comes with a book and comb with a rubber band (way to small to do any hairstyle, even a simple pony tail). She also came with a bracket/necklace for girls, but I lost mine. She came with earrings, a necklace, headband, and bracelets. They were pretty small and the only ones I could find were the gold bracelets (Look on the cover of the book above to see her other accessories).

I’m bored, let’s head outside!!!

All of the Hearts for Hearts dolls are from different places, for instance Nahji is from-

The doll has rooted, silky hair and it’s really nice quality considering I got her for around $20-$25.

She has a hard plastic body with really detailed features.

Look at my curls!!!!!

Nahji’s an amazing doll, and if you can find her at a decent price I highly recommend her!

I did some researching for you guys on Ebay and found an absolutely ridiculous listing, it comes with 7 of the retired outfits and 10 dolls for $1098.98!!!

Of course, the doll I went into Target for, Surjan, is not on Ebay or Amazon even at ridiculous prices, she’s not there at all!

American Girl Wellie Wishers

There has been lots of talk of Wellie Wishers in the doll world, a doll line that will soon be taking over Bitty Twins.

I think these dolls, who are rumored to be 15″, are just adorable! Wellies are basically rain boots, a name  popularized in the UK. Each doll will come with a patterned pair of rain boots. Each doll seems to have a certain theme. I love the blonde on the far left who seems to be ocean or fish themed. Look at the auburn one on the right who is a mixture of lady bugs, rabbits, and maybe foxes? These dolls will be aimed for 4-7 year olds. What do you think of these dolls? Comment below.

My Target Finds

On Friday, I went to Target to check out the toy section with some of my grandparents. I ended up getting some Our Generation, Barbie, and Tsum Tsum items.

Reach New Heights:

This is the coolest idea EVER a doll rock climbing outfit!!?! My sister was lucky enough to find one Coral (the OG surfer doll)  in stock, and unfortunately there weren’t any more for me! 😦  You get everything pictured and a pair of shoes that don’t fit AG’s for $17.

Here’s the shoe’s on Rebecca. Besides the size, they’re very cute.

The harness and it’s mini clip is SO cute! The rope is a little short, but a very cute addition.

And from the back….. The outfit is very cute, the shirt would be a good rash guard and the pants would also double as yoga pants!

I give this outfit 4 out of 5 stars just because the shoes don’t fit and the helmet is tight. I absolutely LOVE the harness though!

Comment below if you think I should make a doll rock climbing wall!

Barbie stuff:

I got one Barbie Fashionista (original size) for $10 and one Made to Move for $15.

I got this doll because of her unique look and cute outfit. She has red streaks in her hair, brown eyes with a tint of green, and a “beauty mark” under her right eye.

She is SO pose able and cute! She is styled in a yoga inspired look with no shoes. Her curly bun is cute and so are her amber eyes.

Both dolls are given 5 out of 5 and well worth their price.

I got another mystery Tsum Tsum pack and finally got the Cheshire Cat after my sister traded with me (she felt bad about getting Coral 🙂 ). He is SO cute!

My Collection

He receives a 5 out of 5 because he’s way to cute for words and I love Alice and Wonderland.

Comment below your favorite item out of the 4. Do you have/want any of these items?

My Thoughts On: American Girl Mega Blocks

Have you seen American Girl items on the Mega Blocks website yet?! They’re SO cute and would be the perfect size for AG’s! I’ll be showing  you the items that are my favorite.

Grace’s 2-in-1 Buildable Home is my favorite item! It comes with 3 AG mini figures including Grace and her 2 besties. I love the fact that they’re articulated too!

I love Saige, she’s probably my favorite American Girl doll, so her art studio is just too cute!!!

They also have these collectible figures for $3.99 each!!! I’m guessing they come in blind bags. I love how they’re wearing actual AG fashions so your doll could possibly have a twin! I ♥ the redhead 🙂

They only have individual and GOTY sets, but I wish they had Lea Clark too….. 😦

Do you think these are a fun product? Will you be purchasing any of them? Comment below to voice your opinion!

My Thoughts On: AG Melody Ellison

This is Melody, American Girl’s newest historical doll….. well not really, because she’s not scheduled to be released until this Summer. Melody will be American Girl’s third black historical doll!!! YES THEY’VE ONLY HAD TWO OTHERS! I think it’s important for girl’s to grow up with dolls that look like them/don’t look like them. It’s important for girl’s to read stories about them too. Melody is from the 1960s, and her story focuses on the Civil Rights Movement.

OMG!!! I LOVE this dress!

I like her unique outfits and hairstyle, what about you?

What do you think about Melody and her unique collection and hairstyle?! Will you be purchasing any of her collection? Comment below!!!

My Thoughts On: New American Girl Releases

Here are four of the new items AG released (not pictured are the accessories like the new boots, bag, and sunglasses).

A. The colors and materials on this outfit originally looked cute, but I am not a big fan of the weird left shoulder bow thingy (I mean LOL what is that thing! 🙂 ). I’d love to get this outfit and alter it to how I’d like it to be. It is $32.

B. I LOVE this outfit!!! Older AG tennis clothes haven’t really been cute, but the fabric and style of this dress are to cute! It would be a fantastic addition to mine or anyone’s growing doll collection. I have a doll tennis racket from a few years back, and it’s SO cute! (Tip: mini tennis balls for dogs work great.) It is $34.

C. Ok seriously, what is up with American Girl and Our Generation?! It seems like AG makes everything OG has already come out with. Our Generation recently came out with a ice cream truck and it’s SO cute, and now we have an ice cream cart from AG. I can’t imagine how you’d use this set unless you had a park scene set up, not many play options, but a park would be rather cute. OG is always loaded with accessories something AG isn’t. Please spend $20 more dollars and buy yourself OG’s amazing truck! The AG version is $85.

D. I do not like this outfit. I guess the shirt is ok, but I’m not seeing why AG came out with this. I don’t have anything else to say, I’m disappointed.

Overall, I was disappointed with this release. The American Girl’s tennis outfit is adorable, but I only considered adding that 1 out of these 4 items to my wish list. American Girl made a strong, creative release this January for Lea Clark and I’m wondering where all that went in this release.

I hope you liked my opinions on AG’s latest release.
